Unearthed from the suburbs of Xi'an City

Fully embellished in red with cloud, triangle patterns and abstract outing human figures, this pottery jar (zhong) was found as a burial object representing the wealth and social status of the tomb owner as it both served as a wine container and was used primarily as a storage ware as well as a measuring tool after the Western Han Dynasty.
