Tang Dynasty Diameter: 30cm Unearthed from the eastern suburbs of Xi'an City in 1984 The mallow-shaped bronze mirror features a turtle-shaped button resting on a lotus leaf. It is decorated with the image of a man playing a stringed instrument in front of the bamboo forest beside a lotus pond at the foot of a mountain with a luan bird fluttering around, which may indicate the Daoist pursuit of seclusion and immortality. |
