Unearthed from the southern suburbs of Xi'an City in 1970

This silver burner with openwork carving in floating cloud patterns is mainly used for house heating by burning wood charcoal inside. Bronze furnaces with charcoal wood are popular among the Tang upper class for heating in the winter.
