Ming Dynasty

25.5 centimeters high

Collected in 1952

A large number of pottery figures buried in the tombs of the princes and nobles of the Ming Dynasty appeared in groups, including guard of honour, servants of various classes, and so on. The group of honour guard figures that had disappeared for a long time in the Five Dynasties, Song and Yuan dynasties appeared again in the Ming Dynasty, which was a remarkable feature of the pottery figures of this period.
