Ladle with A Sheep-Head-Shaped Handle

Late Period of the Shang Dynasty

Length: 28cm

Unearthed from Xiejiagou, Qingjian County, Shaanxi Province in 1977

This vessel for ladling out wine was crafted in a unique style. On its handle there is a tiger preparing to catch a sheep. The mould looks very vivid.
