Ming dynasty, Zhengtong~Jingtai period

Collected from the Nanguan Store of Xi'an in 1959

It was glazed in greenish white color. Near the mouth were painted with phoenix and lotus design, while on the belly, the interlocking lotus design. Near the bottom, the decorations are sprays and nine sea beasts. In terms of color, the darker is blackish blue and the lighter is greyish green. The jar was stuck of the upper and lower parts. The layout of the designs is vigorous, and the drawing is natural but smooth, therefore, it was regarded as a successful work of the period from Zhengtong to Jingtai.
