Unearthed from Sanyuan County, Shaanxi Province in 1985

The pottery figure depicts a Western man with deep-sunk eyes, a high nose, thick eyebrows and beard. With his right hand in front of his chest and left hand resting on his hip, the man dressed in a futou turban and a round-collared robe looks very leisured.

The costume worn by this figure is the usual dress worn by officials of the Tang Dynasty, it consists of a futou turban, a round-collared robe, a belt and pointed boots.
